Non ho avuto tempo per scriverlo a parole mie... quando temporeggio troppo poi finisce che non ritrovo piu' le fonti da dove attingere. Quindi a sto giro quoto quanto scritto su Cantone Web:

Geody è un motore di ricerca geografico creato per fornire, in modo preciso, l'ubicazione di un località presente sia sulla Terra che al di fuori di essa.
La particolarità di questo motore è di ricercare qualsiasi luogo presente sulla Luna, su Marte, su Mercurio, su Venere e sullo Spazio e di visualizzarlo su una mappa visuale.

Inserendo il nome di una città o le sue coordinate geografiche il motore ritorna una mappa che localizza e mostra il luogo scelto, fornendo una serie di informazioni e funzionalità di cui servirsi.
Ad esempio, è possibile vedere la stessa posizione geografica su altri servizi come: Google Map, Nasa Worldwind, Yahoo Maps, Microsoft Live Maps , esportare le coordinate in differenti estensioni, vedere informazioni meteo, utilizzare le webcam, guardare immagini, scoprire le località più vicine o lontane da quella scelta.

Altre opzioni interessanti offerte sono: un database delle specie viventi presenti sulla Terra, dati sui terremoti recenti, Ip Geolocator(rilevamento Ip secondo città,nazione e Isp) e un convertitore di unità di misura.
Geody, non disdegna la collaborazione e accetta l'invio di mappe e foto degli utenti esclusivamente in formato Kml/Kzl.

Un search engine unico, innovativo, ricchissimo di risorse e semplice da utilizzare che potrebbe trovare un applicazione concreta di utilizzo all'interno di scuole e università per scopi educativi e didattici, ma anche molto valido per uso personale.

Net Tools è una raccolta di applicativi per il monitoraggio degli host, network scanning, test sicurezza, tools per amministratori e molto altro. Il tutto è racchiuso in un’interfaccia chiara e intuitiva. Questo set di programmi è adatto a tutte quelle persone che per passione o per lavoro si occupano di sicurezza delle reti, amministrazione, tracciamento dati, istruzione, studio forense per l’applicazione di leggi che riguardano i crimini perpetrati tramite internet.

Il programma è gratuito e in inglese. È installabile su i principali sistemi operativi Microsoft (dal Win98 al Vista). Net Tool è scritto principalmente con linguaggi di programmazione made in Windows come VB6, Visual C++, Visual Studio .NET e Visual C#. Per queste ragioni è necessario installare le .NET frameworks dal sito della Microsoft.

Personalmente ha così tanti tool che in definitiva uso sempre i soliti dimenticandomi che ne ha molti altri. Proprio come suggerivo in passato: queste mega raccolte sono molto comode, ma per lavori professionali è meglio affidarci a software specifici. Il generalismo non è mai una buona cosa. Tuttavia se non riuscite a trovare un software per il Network in questa raccolta vuol dire che avete sbagliato hobby e/o lavoro. Ecco di seguito la lista:

This is “The Graveyard“

It is a very short computer game designed by Auriea Harvey and Michaël Samyn.
You play an old lady who visits a graveyard. You walk around, sit on a
bench and listen to a song. It’s more like an explorable painting than
an actual game. An experiment with realtime poetry, with storytelling
without words.

Its free to download the trial or you can purchase the full version for just $5 which upgrades the game and adds the special feature….death. The full version of the game is exactly the same as the trial, except, every time you play she may die.

This should be on XBox Live or PSN as a MMORPG! Just imagine the possibilities. “The Old Peoples Home”. You walk around, play a little dominoes, fart a little, go up and down in the lift and pull that little red cord that hands on the wall to call the warden. Then…you die. End of.
